Craig is an attorney licensed to practice law in California and Washington State. He has been licensed in Washington since 1995 and in California since 2018, and previously served as a foreign legal advisor in Saxony, Germany from 2010 to 2016.
Craig's practice focuses on complex estate planning, and trust and probate law, including the use of family limited partnerships and a wide range of irrevocable trusts, such as Intentionally Defective Grantor Trusts (IDGTs), Life Insurance Trusts (ILITs), Charitable Remainder Trusts (CRATs and CRUTs), and private foundations. Drawing on his unique background, he also designs comprehensive estate plans addressing international estate and cross-border tax planning issues.
In addition to his planning practice, Craig is highly experienced in trust and estate litigation, probate matters, conservatorships, guardianships, and trust administration. His litigation and administration work includes will and trust contests, executor and trustee removal, establishment of heir and beneficiary rights, and preparation and review of fiduciary accountings.
Craig earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Oregon (1991), his Juris Doctor from Seattle University, cum laude, (1995), and his Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of Washington (1997).
